Adobe Flash Ditches Iphone
Adobe has announced mobile ready Flash 10.1 to be released for Windows Mobile, Palm Pre this year and Symbian, Blackberry and Android Phones the next with a courageous ditch of the Apple Iphone saying that it is a "closed device".
Though i dont understand Adobe's stance because the Iphone is one of the most popular phones the world over and covering it in the Flash release would only be benefitial for Adobe itself, it would certainly do well undoing some of that popularity. Apple has even shown interest in opening up new development platforms for the Iphone but it seems only showing interest was not enough for Adobe.
The notable feature of Flash 10.1, GPU acceleration with NVIDIA graphics card which allows high quality HD playback which even struggles on powerfulsystems according to Gizmodo.com. There is also some promise about improving ABOBE AIR, which enables cross platform applications with Flash 10.1. Yes Flash 10.1 is not only about watching Youtube videos, it has alot more to offer now.
